William Garnier took up duty as the ALMA Education and Public Outreach Officer in July 2007. He has an 8-year experience in scientific journalism and Communications and published many science- and environment-related articles for several magazines and newspapers in France. From 2005 to 2007, he was part of the EPO Team at the European Southern Observatory (ESO) offices in Chile, where he developed and implemented several educational and outreach projects. At the same time, he was responsible for the Communications at the French Embassy's scientific cooperation department in Chile.
