This picture shows the birth of a new antenna

This picture shows the birth of a new antenna for the ALMA Observatory. In the construction hall, high in the Atacama desert, the different parts of the antenna are build together. After the construction is finished, the antenna will be moved out to its final position on the plateau. © S. Stanghellini (ESO)
